The UCEF Board of Directors provides strategic leadership, oversight, and community stewardship on behalf of the School District of University City. Directors help ensure district resources, policies, and initiatives align with the mission of providing equitable, student-centered education. Their core responsibilities include Governance & Oversight, Strategic Planning, Financial Stewardship, and Advocacy & Community Engagement

Directors are nominated by other directors or Foundation associates throughout the spring, and voted upon by the attendees during the annual meeting in May.
Directors serve a three-year term, with elections held in May for a term to begin the following school year (July - June). Directors may not serve more than two consecutive terms.

Our Board members are parents (with kids or kids who have graduated), community members, teachers, anyone with an interest in public school education and a desire to help out and volunteer their time. Our meetings are once a month throughout the school year with a break in the Summer. Fill out an application here to become a UCEF Board Member.
